Today is World Frog Day and as part of our continued partnership with Canoe Projects and the Wulgurukaba Leadership Group, our year 1 and 2/3 classes will be learning all about our local frogs.
Senior Wulgurukaba Elder Brian Johnson commissioned a beautiful artwork from local contemporary and cultural artist, Barbara D Leftwich, as a gift to the school, together with sharing the traditional language word for green tree frog with the school, such an honour. The staff had an amazing opportunity to work with Brian and Barbara this week sharing stories and culture through art.
MINCA has also supported our World Frog Day activities with providing every student with a beautiful local frog information poster, that has been put together by Kaspa Blewitt, another great friend of the school.
Happy Ungalungal Day to our whole school community!
