At Magnetic Island State School, we understand that parents,
carers and the wider community have an active role to play in our students
learning. This is emphasized through our Parent and Community Engagement
Framework. We have a number of positive relationships with our local community
groups. Including: MICDA (Magnetic Island Community Development Association);
MINCA (Magnetic Island Nature Care Association); MIFCO (Magnetic Island Fauna
Care Organisation); Magnetic Island Museum; Men’s Shed; the local Rotary Club;
Community Care; R.S.L.; SeaLink Queensland; Magnetic Island Boat Club; and the
local Police (Adopt-a-Cop).
We actively participate in community events such as: ANZAC
Day, Remembrance Day, NAIDOC Celebrations, Carols by Candlelight and World
Oceans Day.
