This year's Science Week theme was Species Survival - More than just sustainability, which suited our island school and community perfectly. Through the week we were visited by Stephen Rodan, inventor of the CHARM robotic coral farming system, we planted seedlings, viewed videos about animal survival traits, participated in a fun bird beak adaptation activity with Mrs Ward and looked for evidence of different species living in our school yard. We also talked about our responsibility to preserve environments to ensure that different species can continue to survive and thrive.
