PBL Update

PBL Update
In 2017 we will continue to develop as a PBL school (Positive Behaviour for Learning Framework) with the aim of fostering a positive and safe learning environment and reducing behavioural incidences.
We have reflected upon our practices from last year and received feedback from parents and will use this information to help reach our goals. Our first PBL team meeting will be this week. At this meeting we will be finalising the positions in our team (replacing staff members who have relocated) and our reward system.
Once again we will be using the Gotcha system. Students will receive Gotcha’s for positive behaviours displayed throughout the year. Each week we will have a ‘PBL Focus of the week’ which will be taught in class and on parade.
Week 1: Be Respectful – Follow Instructions from all Staff Members
Week 2: Be Safe – Move Sensibly and Carefully
Please watch this space for an update of our reward systems.
We look forward to another positive year at Magnetic Island State School.
Kind regards,
PBL Team
